Sales Account Manager

Our client, a global, Indigenous-owned fashion brand, is hiring a permanent Account Manager, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The successful candidate will have ambition to develop a sales career, be interested in the fashion industry, and be knowledgeable of Indigenous culture. The company provides a great work environment, with excellent benefits and a flexible working schedule. Travel is required for 30 - 40% of working hours.
Gain expertise in the brand and product lineup
Review historic sales data, create recommended orders by customer; study existing client base, potential volumes and identify additional prospects and opportunities
Plan and organize daily work schedule; call new and existing clients; pursue opportunities
Manage and execute sales campaigns via phone and email; cold calls and lead generation
Set-up and attend trade shows; meet customers and take orders
Listen to and report on customer needs; provide solutions/ suggestions via phone/email
Change orders and update customer account information in computer system
Answer incoming phone calls and emails; provide support with order processing
Assist with creation of order forms, purchase orders, sales reports and order confirmations
Process and send inventory reports to a variety of clients and stakeholders across multiple channels
Complete a sales opportunities database, communicate travel schedules, daily call reports, weekly work plans, and sales forecasts in a timely manner
A willingness to go above and beyond, especially during peak season (winter)
Prior experience in wholesale sales environment
Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience working with MS Excel, MS Office Suite
Attention to detail and numerical proficiency, with an ability to analyze / summarize data and make strategic, data-based recommendations
An inherent ease and excitement in interacting professionally with customers
Superior written and verbal communication skills and enthusiastic personality
Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks over the short and medium term
An entrepreneurial attitude coupled with a willingness to problem solve
Passion for customer service, attention to details – and a desire to close sales
These qualifications are considered nice to have:
French language proficiency
Experience working with Mailchimp and/or other B2B tools
2 years of customer service experience; ideally, in a non-retail environment
